I have given this lesson to year 12 and 13 but could be used for GCSE as well. It is based on the ideas in the Hectic Teacher’s guide to Independent Study

This learning phase is separated into two parts. The first looks at creating a household budget and the second focuses in on Grocery shopping to a budget, which will require computer access, but could also be set as a homework task.
The purpose of the first sessions is:

This unit of work is focusing on helping students to start investigating career paths and choose their GCSE options. The first part is looking at the link between personality and career choice using the Holland Codes.
